Release note CertSign API v1.16.0 – October 2024 – EN

Announcements

As part of our effort to improve our e-signature service, we will be rolling out a new version of the CertSign API service in November.

This new version brings the following improvements:

  • Visible signature on the last page
  • Improving the resilience of the revocation verification system
  • Optimize document obsolescence management

The 1.16.0 release is scheduled for November 2024 with a two-phase deployment:

  • Sandbox environment made available: Tuesday 29/10/2024 at 10:00 am CET.
  • Production environment made available: Tuesday 05/11/2024 at 10:30 am CET.

Please note, disruptions related to the version update may be observed in both environments for up to one hour.

The new version will only be deployed once you have confirmed the successful completion of the sandbox tests.

Our support team remains at your disposal if you have any questions or feedback.

Improvements

Qualified signature: Signature visible on last page

For a qualified signature, it is often necessary to apply a visible signature to the last page of a document, but the operation of finding the number of pages in the document can be complex for the user.

From now on, simply set the page number to -1 (Parameter: “signaturePage” : -1) in the “createCollect” request, and our signature service will automatically apply the visible signature to the last page.

Improving the resilience of the revocation verification system

If an internal problem occurred in the OCSP service during a verification of the validity of the signing certificate, the process ended in failure.

An enhancement has been implemented so that our service can perform this verification using another service, either by querying another OCSP server, or by querying the appropriate CRL. This reduces the number of signature failures associated with the revocation check.

Optimize document obsolescence management

Once the specified retention period has elapsed, our system automatically deletes the customer’s documents. Depending on the number of documents, this can be a resource-intensive operation.

We have optimized this process to ensure greater availability of signature servers and greater efficiency in compliance with RGPD regulations.
